The primary role of the Strategic Planner is to support, identify and lead business transformation improvement projects across the company that grow the business, remove waste, take out complexity, and simplify our operations. The individual in this role is also accountable for reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement across the company by establishing systems and processes and leading initiatives to identify and implement changes that improve efficiencies and drive growth throughout the company. Essential Duties • Identifies and implements strategic initiatives to drive cost reduction and sales and margin growth while ensuring no negative impact on customer service, product quality, safety. • Identifies cost reduction projects by evaluating the organization for waste, complexity and identifying solutions. • Learns, understands, applies and documents rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and lean manufacturing to and for company-wide operations and acquisition integration • Analyzes the Company’s sustainability performance data for significant trends and specific property issues and prepares periodic reports for the Executive Board • Coordinates energy improvement initiatives and ensures the deployment of energy assessment program for the divisions. Conducts facility audits, calculating electricity usage per SF, water use, rate analysis and utility negotiation, spending trends • Coordinates meetings and conference calls with relevant vendors, employees and other internal and external stakeholders • Works with the Transportation Management team on fleet optimization through routing, truck fill, fuel efficiency programs and transitioning to hybrid vehicles where applicable Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Engineering, Energy and Sustainability, Supply Chain) or related trade experience • 4+ years of experience in a multi-divisional environment with previous Operational Excellence or strategic planning experience preferred • Strong familiarity with a Wholesale or Retail ERP platform supporting medium/ large-scale enterprise • Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data and financial reports, understand and resolve technical difficulties, interface with internal operations experts and external technical representatives, and manage multiple priorities • High-energy with a growth mentality • Experience in managing critical deadlines • Strong analytical acumen with demonstrated ability to deep dive data, extract insights and provide guidance on actions • Advanced MS Excel Skills. Tableau or other visualization software experience preferred. • Proven communication and presentation skills at the Sr. or Executive level Supplemental Information This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security with the information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
