Description
This is Sinder. She was born 10/30/2016. She is a long coat black pure DDR German shepherd that last I weighed her was around 75 pounds. She would be ideally looking for a home where there are no kids or elderly, or other dogs (though she is good around them she wants to be a only dog and gets jealous of them). She is good with kids and protects them, BUT does not tolerate if one happens to grab her and pull on her. My kids are older and do not do these things, but it has been happening to friends and neighbor kids. Her biggest and main problem is jumping on people and taking them down. She has knocked family members over hard enough to take them to medical. All because she wants to kiss your face. We have sent her to training and tried for many years all different techniques, but she still does it. I have come to the conclusion she needs a new person. Ideally one person or a couple. She is house trained but loves the outdoors. She loves car rides that take her to the beach and on hikes. She grew up on our farm and gets along with all animals and even free range chickens (though we never let her out with the horses without watching her at all times). She loves to play fetch. She would like a job to do and would be a awesome search dog. She was bred to be a personal protection dog and takes that very seriously. She will attack bees that even fly around me. Since bees are my biggest fear around here, she also has picked up on that, and now made it her duty to kill any bee that flies around me :) I love her more than anything, and I have put this on hold for several years even though I know its what is right for her and my family. My mom who is a close neighbor and needs to come over regularly just had major back surgery and I cant risk Sinder knocking her down again. I just cant. If you have read this far you understand that I am giving you all this information, because it is important. She is spayed already. She always gets her vaccinations in October. I don't have all her records so please don't ask. I just have it done every October. She was dewormed last February and I use Frontline as a flea preventative on the first of every month. So she just got a fresh dose of Frontline today. She was DNA tested for DM and tested negative so no risk of hip issues there. Did not do OFAs on her as she was just a companion. Her only I say medical issue is that her ears get nasty inside. The vet said it might be due to the hair getting into them. If they are cleaned regularly she is fine, but it is a problem that can pop up quickly. She is awesome with bathes as she LOVES water. Although once again if water goes into her ears it bugs her later. Hard to do as she will spend her entire day playing in the sprinkler. She is great with trimming her nails. I can't fit everything in here, but I feel I have the important parts. She cant and wont go to just anyone. Sinder is NOT at risk for going to the humane society. She is loved. Please no apartments. She is used to 40 acres of farm and woods. I am asking a rehoming fee of $125 and its not negotiable.
