Searching for an experienced Painter who will be responsible to operate and tend painting machines to paint surfaces of equipment in the paint area of the shop. This position will be part of our Paint team and will report to the Paint Lead. Role and Responsibilities These responsibilities include but are not limited to: Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner. Select paint according to Release to Production (RP) requirements, and match colors of paint following specified color charts. Pour paint into spray guns, and adjust nozzles and paint mixes in order to get the proper paint flow and coating thickness. Monitor painting operations in order to identify flaws such as blisters and streaks so that their causes can be corrected. Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning duties. Operate and maintain paint booth according to usage. Qualifications and Education Requirements Years of relevant experience: 1 – 5 years of experience related to painting. Education: High School Diploma or GED Paint Powder coating certification or equivalent paint experience To operate a forklift must be certified and licensed Winning Behaviors, competencies, skills Team player and able to get along with co-workers Must be able to use common sense. Must be flexible with work schedule as well as overtime Starting at $19hr
