We are based in Carlsbad, CA and have a rent free rehearsal & recording space. We do covers centered around Rush, and classic rock such as Black Sabbath, Led Zep, VH, Kansas, etc. We also write our own blend of originals and plan to record new music ongoing with influences ranging from Dream Theater, Rush, Soundgarden, Mastodon, and a laundry list of others. We want to do a set of Rush and a set of classic rock as well as some of our own material. We’ve played HOB, Music Box and smaller venues around SD, La Mesa Octoberfest, Etc. and would love to get back out there because gigs are waiting. We are both age 50 and North. We love what we do. No drama, just good friends that love to play and create music. Listen and watch: www.aetherxband.com Who are we looking for: A reliable bass player with gig ready gear, transportation, motivation to play live and record, joy in performing covers as well as originals. Vocals and or keys a plus. Please send us audio or video of you playing along with “Red Barchetta,” “Free Will” or any classic Rush. While we don’t want to be a RUSH tribute, we do want to play a lot of Rush music. Geddy Lee bass parts demonstrate a good measure of skill on the bass that we are looking for in terms of musical capacity. We look forward to hearing from you.
