Description
We know you're out there. Our four piece bluegrass band (guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo) is looking to bring on an upright bass player. Some bluegrass bands have used electric bass players - we'd like to stay traditional and be all acoustic.
When COVID hit, we started playing together via JamKazam but have now started to play face to face outdoors. We are all vaccinated and would expect the same. Our goal is to practice once per week - those sessions generally run about two hours.
The majority of our tunes are traditional bluegrass with a few Americana/folk renditions thrown-in for good measure.
What we're looking for: Someone who wants to have fun playing and learning new material, Someone who can bring a few tunes forward to share. Someone who loves bluegrass. Someone willing to commit to a practice schedule and also be flexible. Someone who does not smoke. Someone who gets along well with others and wants to make music fun.
If this sounds interesting, do reach out and we'll see what we can make happen.
