Connect with other guardianship/adoptive parents Adoptive, Guardianship and Foster parents please join therapist; Jaclyn Skalnik LCSW, founder of Adoption Wellness, for a workshop serving transracially adoptive families! This workshop will explore unique identity development in a transracial adoptive family. Jaclyn will share tips to help parents to learn ways to support their transracially adopted children throughout their lives. Jaclyn will also share tips on how to build a sustainable social support community for your family. Jaclyn is a well recognized expert in the area of transracial adoption! Join us for this special opportunity at the Holy Grounds Coffee House at East Brook Church in Milwaukee. This workshop is open to members of the larger community who are adoptive, guardianship or foster families. *Refreshments will be provided REMINDERS Please do NOT attend an event if you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath), or have been exposed to others who have experienced those symptoms within the last 14 days. Regarding COVID-19, please follow CDC guidelines, as well as specific county, city and location guidelines. Wisconsin Adoption & Permanency Support is funded by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families to offer supportive services that cover a wide continuum of needs for Wisconsin's adoptive & guardianship families, adult adoptees and birth families. Our program is built on collaboration with individuals, professionals, organizations and community members throughout Wisconsin who are impacted by adoption & guardianship.
