Madison Trust is pleased to honor projects, people and organizations in our community that demonstrate excellence in historic preservation. Each year the Madison Trust highlights specific projects that show a high level of devotion to historic preservation through property owners, architects, designers, contractors or other participants. We also recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions in activities that support the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage. We are very fortunate to be holding the combined 2020/2021 Historic Preservation Awards at Garver Feed Mill! We hope you will join us at this special event. Event Details5:00 and 5:30 p.m. ~ Historical tours with Garver Manager Bryant Moroder, TKWA Architect Adam Voltz and Architect John Martens (tickets available until they sell out) 6:00 p.m. ~ Social hour with hors d’oeuvres and a full cash bar Enjoy hors d’oeuvres from Garver Catering and Ian’s Pizza with desserts from Calliope Ice Cream & Bloom Bake Shop! 7:00 p.m. ~ Ceremony Since we are recognizing both 2020 and 2021 recipients, the ceremony may be slightly longer then in past years. We hope you'll understand and we will do our best to keep the event moving along. During the ceremony, feel free to stand or grab a drink from the open bar. We will follow all City and County recommendation at the event. We ask that guests experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or awaiting results of a COVID-19 test not attend the event. The Madison Trust for Historic Preservation celebrates and advocates for the preservation of historic places in the Madison, Wisconsin, area. We believe that historic places are cultural resources and that their rehabilitation, restoration and preservation are vital to a sustainable approach to redevelopment of older parts of our community. We believe historic places are critical to cultivating a civic identity and sense of place. The Madison Trust provides opportunities for community members and visitors to learn about the cultural, social and economic benefits of historic preservation.
