A Congolese Refugee Awareness Event. Guests from the DRC. Music, prayer and story. Speaker Fr. Eric Nsenga will share about life in the DRC.
Heart for Congo presents . . . Moving Mountains!
Let our hearts be moved!
Join us as we host special guests from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and share an awareness evening with them.
We all will learn from their stories about life in the DRC and life as refugees.
With 8000 Congolese immigrants and refugees here in the Seattle area, we will learn how we can welcome the stranger and support our brothers and sisters in Christ.
We will learn how our lives in Seattle, Washington affect the lives of those in the DRC, and what we can do to help those in need.
We will hear the witness from Father Eric Nsenga, with the help of translator Eunice Mayala.
Worship leader Providence Kamana will help us to unite our hearts in song and prayer for refugees around the world, especially those in Seattle and those in the DRC.
Together, we will move mountains! Our hearts of stone will be transformed into hearts of flesh with compassion for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Join the movement, as we move towards justice, truth, reconciliation, hope, healing and peace in the DRC!
Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20-21
