This is Pearl, a female blue budgie/parakeet who is estimated to be nearly 3 years old. She’s a very playful girl, who loves shredding up her toys and socializing with other birds. I’m looking to re-home her to a loving family. WHY $70? Her adoption fee is $70 to make sure her new owner is serious, and that she doesn't go to an animal abuser. You also get a LOT for the price (see below). I'm serious about finding her a good home. HER PERSONALITY: - She’s still shy around humans, but is hand tame! - Right now, she’s more into spending time with other birds than people. - She may be romantically-inclined and looking for a mate WHAT IM LOOKING FOR IN HER NEXT OWNER: - at least some bird experience - a non-smoking home - has some other bird(s) for her to socialize with. Maybe a handsome boy budgie for her to fall in love with? - owning a green budgie/bird might be a plus! (See her history section to see why) HER HISTORY: - Pearl was likely bought at a pet store like Petco or PetSmart, along with another green budgie, by a young lady in an apartment. There, Pearl stayed for about a month. In this small apartment, the owner’s cat would harass them, eventually leading to the cage being knocked over and the green budgie being eaten. This may very well have traumatized her. - Shortly after, I adopted Pearl and brought her into my home (around May 2019). Here she’s stayed for about 2.5 years, along with my other two birds. She seems perfectly healthy now, and a lot less shy than she was when I first got her. She’s become romantically interested in my green parrotlet, which may mean that she’s grown to like green birds ever since her first home. Could be a coincidence!
