Limited Open Bar and Hors D'oeuvres 6:30pm - 9:30pm Sponsored by Gilead and Impulse Group DC The purpose of this event is to introduce the House & Ballroom Community within Washington DC and connecting areas within close proximity such as Baltimore, Prince Georges County, Montgomery County and Northern Virginia to the Capitol Ballroom Council. In addition to introducing the council, we are looking to recruit council members. Our goal is to network with members of the scene in a social setting and discuss how we can collectively work together to sustain, improve and add structure to the House and Ballroom Community in our area. About The Capitol Ballroom Council: Mission Statement: The purpose of the council is to organize and mobilize LGBTQIA+ individuals and houses of the House and Ballroom Community by sharing ideas, providing resources and promoting unity within Washington DC and connecting areas within close proximity such as Baltimore, Prince Georges County, Montgomery County and Northern Virginia. Vision Statement: We envision a structured Ballroom community thriving through consistent stewardship of charity, humanity, promoting leadership development, focusing on growth, innovation, productivity, creativity and camaraderie.
