Please join us Saturday, Nov. 6, for the 2021 Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters Awards Luncheon at The Greenbrier Resort! Dear Broadcasters: It's time for us to celebrate YOU in person! Please join us Saturday, Nov. 6, for the 2021 Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters Awards Luncheon at The Greenbrier Resort. The event honoring the best work of 2020 is open to Virginia and West Virginia broadcasters, their spouses and friends, to professionals employed in associated fields and to college students. All the award winners will be revealed at the annual luncheon and awards presentation that begins at 12 p.m. The deadline to register for the luncheon is Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 HOTEL ROOMS: If you'd like to stay overnight, The Greenbrier Resort, 300 W Main St., White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., has rooms available at the group rate of $219 per night + taxes/fees. (We have a reduced resort fee of $25 (discount of $14) + 6.5% historic preservation fund + state & local taxes). Call the hotel directly at 855-453-4858, Option #2 for "conference," to reserve a room in our block. Please make sure you mention our group -- the Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters -- to get the special rate for Friday, Nov. 5 and/or Nov. 6. The deadline to reserve a room at the group rate is Thursday, Oct. 14. But please be advised that there are only a limited number of rooms in our block, so reserve yours today! Besides an awesome awards presentation and lunch, there's plenty to keep you busy at the Greenbrier: the spa, laser tag, shooting, the casino, horseback riding, golfing, the casino, escape room, fishing, falconry, the casino.
