Wine-tasting and networking event. Explore The Urban Grape store in the South End for wine tasting, where attendees may sample wines from their BIPOC collection. The Urban Grape wine educators and owner & CEO TJ Douglas are giving you the break down on how to pick your wine choice of the evening with ease. Then hear a bit about the wines and the teams behind them. We're ready to wine-down and network with you! AGENDA: This is an informal event, where attendees will be able to walk around and sample wines from the BIPOC collection, and hear from the educators present. SPEAKERS: Founder & CEO of The Urban Grape, TJ Douglas, will be present to pour wines, as will several other wine educators, including Alyssa Champagne and Lydia Gill. THIS EVENT IS HOSTED BY: The Urban Grape Located in Boston, The Urban Grape is one of the most successful and award- winning wine stores in America. UG is a Black- owned and woman- owned small business dedicated to building community through beverage. Each year, as a part of City Awake, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce's young professional network, we host the annual Fierce Urgency of Now festival in partnership with organizations throughout the Greater Boston region. The festival draws thousands of attendees across five days with over 35 events highlighting the challenges and experience of young professionals of color. F.U.N. encourages our community to share what steps their company or industry is taking to improve the experience of young professionals of color in Greater Boston. Through our programming we also continue to highlight Boston’s diverse neighborhoods, voices, organizations, and perspectives through social, cultural, civic, and community events.
