Join us September 25 for a shoreline cleanup in recognition of National Public Lands Day. On September 25, 2021, volunteers across the country will join in trash pick-ups, and other activities aimed at restoring and caring for our public lands to celebrate National Public Lands Day. The Alice Ferguson Foundation is hosting a shoreline cleanup at Piscataway Park on September 25 from 9 AM – 11 AM. Piscataway Park located in Accokeek, MD. This event will take place rain or shine. Can’t make it to our onsite cleanup? Host a cleanup of your own at home! Organize a household cleanup and share pictures of your cleanup using the hashtag #PotomacCleanup and we will feature your efforts on social media. Organized each year by the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), and nationally sponsored by Toyota Motor North America, National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands.
