MCH Trio, led by Matthew Charles Heulitt, brings some groovy funky jazz vibes to Smiley's! Guitarist and composer Matthew Charles Heulitt wields an uncanny ability to bridge the worlds of jazz, contemporary pop, and original music into a tapestry of soulful music. His lines on the guitar draw a constant sense of unfolding and searching that go well beyond the idioms of jazz improvisation. He’s been a top call session musician in the bay area for over 20 years, has toured internationally, and in 2015 Guitar Player Magazine said he “...represents a scarce breed of guitarist these days…“. He’s been the main guitarist for drummer/producer Narada Michael Walden (Journey, Jeff Beck) for over 10 years.
