Another Night on the Bayou XIV Another Night on the Bayou returns to Zonie's Closet for its 14th Year!! Please join us for this fundraiser to benefit the Greg Powers DEFA Fund. For just $20 you can belly-up to the all-you-care-to-eat buffet featuring fried fish and chicken, sausage jambalaya, red beans & rice (V), cole slaw (v), hush puppies (v), bread pudding and sweet tea & lemonade. Zonie’s will also feature a Hurricane drink special (limit 2 per customer, while supplies last) in addition to providing full bar service. With the health of all attendees, performers and staff in mind, attendance will be limited to the first 75 tickets sold. This is a Age 21+ Event; Zonie's Closet is a cash-only venue with ATM available on site. Former Bag Ladies Queens Halle Pino, Holly Luyah, Sparkle Nightly, Cassidy Fellows-Sommers and Barbra Pleaze will be joined by special guests MJ Banks, Codi Christine and Ana Crusis to present a Blues and Country-themed drag show under the stars on the deck at Zonie’s Closet. C’mon down for the buffet, booze and blues to rock your way through the weekend. 100% of all ticket sales and performer tips collected will go to the Greg Powers DEFA Fund administered through The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis. DEFA funds are administered by The Health Foundation to grantees that provide hands-on care management and assistance including The Damien Center, Eskenazi Hospital and the LifeCare program at IU Health Methodist Hospital. These agencies then distribute DEFA funds to meet the individual emergency needs of People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). In 2019, DEFA funds provided assistance to 4,819 patients. The funds were distributed to assist PLWHA with: Rent/Mortgage Payments, Medications, Transportation, Nutrition, Utilities and Medical Assistance. Additional information can be found here.
