Cafe Con Leche Chicana TrailBlazer Kick off event Join us on September 18th at the Stockyards. You will have the opportunity to listen to HWNT-FW past chairs. 9:40 am – Tour of the facilities by a member of APHA 9:50 am – Introductions and presentation on the two upcoming APHA fall events 10:10 am – HWNT – Past Chairs panel & networkingTour of all the new establishments in Mule Alley and (tentative) RDTV Studios tour 11:00 am Enjoy live music in the Stockyards 11:30 am Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive followed by Hispanic Heritage Kick off Parade with Charros, Escaramuza Charra and dancing horses. Since we will be celebrating the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, were 22 countries are honored, we would like to encourage all the attendees to wear traditional clothes (Latin America) and bring small flags representing their countries of birth or heritage. 2:00 pm A special Charro event will happen at Cowtown Coliseum **Parking : You have many options in the Stockyards area, from valet parking at the Drover, a few free parking spaces with a two hour maximum along Exchange and various parking lot options thru out the Stockyards and near Billy Bob’s Texas. Ranging from $7 to $10 https://fortworthstockyards.com/parking/ The Hispanic Women's Network of Texas (HWNT) is a state-wide organization of individuals from diverse backgrounds committed to promoting the participation of Hispanic women in public, corporate and civic arenas. As the Fort Worth Chapter of Hispanic Women's Network of Texas, we are a multi-cultural mix of men and women of all ages that aim to help one another reach goals, promote our businesses, and offer support and resources to elevate our Hispanic community.  Our activities include the Latinas in Progress© Education Program, Cafe con Leche socials, Stand Up! and Be Inspired! programs, annual Dia de los Muertos Gala, health information sessions, Salsa Cook-Off competitions and involvement with HWNT's Annual State Conference. We build lasting friendships and look forward to meeting you!
