Learn to process raw wool and then 'paint' with it!
Join us for a unique farm workshop showcasing the wool that was sheared from our own Gibbet Hill sheep. "Painting with wool" is a 2D needle felting process of applying colored carded wool onto fabric to create a piece of art.
Participants in this workshop will work with raw wool and learn about the steps involved in processing raw wool so that it is suitable for needle felting. Afterwards, participants will create a 'painting' with the processed wool. All supplies will be provided.
For ages 12 and over, however due to the sharpness of the needles used in the felting process, we request that children be supervised by an adult.
Price per person includes a thoughtfully prepared, snack box of crudite, dips, and breads.
The class will be held rain or shine on the farm. Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather, and wear shoes appropriate for the weather and sturdy enough for walking in and around the farm.
