Description
Calling on our diverse community members who have vaccine shoulder scars to take part in our Make Your Mark: Get Your Shot Campaign. The Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce is creating a racially and generationally diverse, informative, and community-based vaccine encouragement video to help get the Sacramento Region's spread of covid-19 infections under control. If you have a shoulder scar from a vaccine received between 1900-1980, we want you to be in our video to showcase your mark of pride, strength and humility. This scar, or mark, led to the eradication of smallpox disease - and worldwide vaccination back then means that we no longer need to vaccinate against this disease today. Help us to get out the word: you got the shot, so we don't have to. We aim to encourage as many people as possible to Make Their Mark and Get the Shot to fight COVID-19, so that we can continue the legacy of protecting ourselves, each other, and future generations. Instructions if you wish to participate: 1. There is no cost to participate, simply choose a 15 minute time period on September 5th, 2021 from the range of free ticket slots included in this event. 2. Arrive at K2J Productions Headquarters *wearing a mask* and no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled shoot time. 3. Once you arrive, please sign the necessary photo-release/permissions waiver. 4. Please wear black clothing with the ability to easily show your vaccination scar without removing your clothes. 5. When you are being photographed/filmed, please remove your mask. All K2J technical and SBCC staff on-site will be masked. 6. Follow the SBCC on social media, so that when the video is released you can share it far and wide! Thank you for being a part of the Make Your Mark: Get Your Shot Campaign!
