A broken recall system.

News

San Francisco CA

Description

If 51% of CA voters vote yes on the recall, a person with only 10% of the vote could win. In a real election, the candidate with the majority of the votes wins. In a recall, the incumbent is required to get 51% of the votes while the challenger just needs 1% more than his nearest opponent. If this recall works, EVERY candidate who gets elected on either side will be recalled. Obviously it is too late to reform this system for this silly recall currently going on, but this should be rectified soon.
