For MGF's second workshop weekend, we will focus on learning from the land, the ways that it can heal us, and the beauty in its patterns. Workshop DescriptionsSchedule: 10:00-12:30 - Nature Liberation Workshop 12:30-1:00 - Bring your own lunch 1:00 - 4:00 - Printmaking Workshop Nature Liberation Workshop w/ Andraly Horn of Open Farms Retreat A Nature Liberation is an invitation to you to engage all of your senses while connecting to the land and the wisdom of the natural world. We begin with giving thanks to the land which informs the experience, followed by a centering meditation to begin opening our minds and hearts. Gentle movement and breathwork prepare you as we take a tour through the herb and vegetable gardens. You will the have the opportunity to find a spot that speaks to you to sit a while in stillness as you synchronize with the breath of life. Afterwards returning to the fire circle for herbal tea, reflections and closing. https://www.openfarmsretreat.com/ https://www.instagram.com/openfarmsretreat/ Printmaking Workshop w/ Susana McDonnell of LinoCave Join MGF CSA Member and Linocave Founder, Susana McDonnell and dip your toe into two types of printmaking. First, we will screen print the Movement Ground Farm logo onto a t-shirt,tea towel or tote bag. While that dries, we will forage for vegetables and leaves that we can use to relief print around the logo to create organic farm-themed decor. Students will leave with their own hand-printed fabric item and get to experience the joy of printing! Open to all levels and all materials included. https://linocave.com https://www.instagram.com/linocaveprints/ Registration:To register for the event, please click the 'Tickets' button above. Ticket prices are on a sliding scale based on need. Please buy tickets for every individual member of your group, including children. Space is limited and we need to have an accurate count for supplies and facilitation. Only 20 total tickets are available. Proceeds from the event will go to supporting Movement Ground Farm's Educational Programming, recultivating the central role of food and land in nourishing our bodies, strengthening our communities, and growing a more just world. Note: While we strongly encourage everyone to stay on the farm all day for both workshops and experience all the land has to offer, we also want to accommodate people's experiences and we understand that that is not possible for some. We do offer half-day tickets which allow folks to choose to only attend one of the two workshops for the day. As part of the half-day ticket you get to choose which workshop you would like to attend at checkout. Our Instructors for the DayAndraly Horn LMT, BS, BCST, Farmer (he/him) A Fourth-Generation Farmer from the South, Andraly uses ancestral knowledge to guide him in farming and treating the human body. Utilizing that knowledge to create a farm in New England has given him a deep appreciation for our connection to the Natural World. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Science and is an instructor for the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). This broad spectrum of education and hands-on experience is demonstrated through his practice of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, and the founding of an Open farming experience that acknowledges the natural intersection in each.
