Two young male rats, friendly, to good home

Description
This is Sunflower and Shiloh! They are 9 month old fancy rats from a breeder in Idaho who selects for good temperament. Shiloh is a dumbo-eared rex-furred powder blue berkshire rat. Sunflower is a dumbo-eared smooth-coated black berkshire rat. They are curious, playful, friendly, and occasionally timid or mischevious! I have kept rats as emotional support animals for the past 3 years, but I am a seasonal wildlife biologist, and I will be moving more than I am used to over the next few years, and all of the driving & time in the cage is hard on my boys. They are social animals and need to be kept together (or with other rats), and since rats are highly intelligent, they need a lot of play time / stimulation for their mental wellbeing. I'll keep them if I don't find the right home, but if there's someone in the area who would take good care of them and whose life they would improve, I think it would be better for them, so please reach out. I live in Port Angeles, but I would be willing to drive and meet the right people as far away as Olympia / Tacoma / Seattle. They would come with a midwest critter nation cage (this is a large, well made, top of the line rat cage), some houses and hideaways, two water bottles, a litterbox (they are ~70% litter trained), a food bowl, etc. The cage alone cost a pretty penny, so I will ask a 40$ rehoming fee to weed out folks seeking snake food (I'm not opposed to this in general but not for these guys -- I'm too attached!) but if cost is prohibitive and you're willing to talk to me about why you'd be a good home for my boys, I would waive the adoption fee. Sunflower (the black rat) bites sometimes, and Shiloh has also bitten me once or twice - I think it is hormonal because of when it showed up and the fact that it doesn't seem aggressive, just sort of feisty / exploratory, and I had been planning to get them both neutered at some point which I believe will sort it out, but hadn't found a vet to do it yet - so that's something to keep in mind. Let me know ASAP if you might be interested or if you want more photos of the rats or the cage!
