Commodity Forwarders Inc. looking for a full-time Warehouse Lead to fill a position within our Warehouse department. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate $17/hr. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently handling various responsibilities with competing priorities as well as excellent customer service. Must demonstrate professional manners and effective communication when interacting with fellow employees and customers. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: + Prioritize the work flow for cargo consolidation to ensure cargo distribution by customer, by order and by destination. + Maximize cooler capacity and efficiency +Maintain all areas clean and in order +Adhere to all Policies and Procedures. + Environment is fast paced. Must be able to multi-task and handle high-pressure situations. + Make sure all necessary reports and records are complete, timely, and accurate. + Promote a safe, secure work environment maintaining all necessary compliance requirements. + Ensure you have all necessary tools (steel-tip shoes, temperature probes, uniforms etc.) to perform your duties. + Follow procedures that minimize compliance violations for TSA, USDA, FDA etc. + Comply with safety standards and reporting procedures that meet requirements of Commodity Forwarders and insurance providers. + Enforce adherence to Policies and Procedures. + All cut-off’s for air freight and trucking are achieved. + Take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position, consistent with CFI policy and standard procedure and sound business judgment. + Environment is fast paced.
