Description
BOSTON — Yoga Reaches Out, an annual, one-day yoga fundraising event, has for the first time introduced pop-up yoga classes to bring the yogi community together more often, and help raise funds for the research and care of children battling disease at Boston Children's Hospital.
Yoga instructor Lauren Turner will host a session in Shrewsbury for participants of all abilities on Thursday, Sept. 9 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Broken Creek Vineyard & Winery, located at 614 South St.
Yoga Reaches Out, which celebrated its 10th annual yogathon event virtually in October 2020, is now safely reconnecting with local yoga enthusiasts in-person as people begin to gather again. All pop-up, in person classes will comply with current CDC guidelines. While masks are not required, there will be appropriate social distancing at each of the venues.
To sign up, visit the Yoga Reaches Out website. There is no fee, but a suggested $25 donation or more upon registration is encouraged. These donations help save and support the lives of children from every U.S. state and from over 100 countries who come to Boston Children's Hospital for treatments unavailable anywhere else. All of the contributions made to Yoga Reaches Out go to the Every Child Fund, which enhances the hospital's research, resources and directly impacts the ability to save the lives of children.
