MARBLEHEAD, MA — Volunteers intend to honor International Coastal Clean-Up Day by picking up trash and debris at 33 area beaches and parks along the North Shore. Sustainable Marblehead and the Marblehead-based SPUR will organize the clean-up efforts in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott on Sept. 11 from 9:30 tp 10:30 a.m. The groups are looking for volunteers to help out on foot, kayak, paddleboard and boat. Sustainable Marblehead is a community organization dedicated to connecting, supporting, and empowering residents, businesses and town officials to create a healthy, sustainable and resilient community. SPUR is a Marblehead-based non-profit that connects individuals with ways to make an impact on their community through volunteer events in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott.
