Are you a bride-to-be (or a bridesmaid) thinking about DIY wedding invitations? Or maybe you're always down to learn a new skill or develop Are you a bride-to-be (or a bridesmaid) thinking about DIY wedding invitations? Or maybe you're always down to learn a new skill or develop a new creative hobby. Then this fun and relaxed workshop is for you! We will gather a small group of people who, like you, are interested in learning the art of modern calligraphy. In this course for beginners, we will learn about the tools needed, warm-up exercises, lowercase and uppercase modern calligraphy letterforms, and connecting letters to form words. All participants will receive: • three hours of instruction • a kit including a dip pen holder, nib, pot of ink, and paper • an instructional packet with guide sheets and exemplar sheets to take home • access to future feedback on your progress • light refreshments and snacks  Treat yourself (and a friend) to a fun afternoon of learning to letter! $10 off each ticket when you purchase for yourself and friend.  Seating is limited to 8. Proof of vaccination required. Rachel Marks is the Owner and Designer of Tallulah Ketubahs, which offers beautiful contemporary ketubahs, wedding certificates, blessings, and quotes for couples of all backgrounds. Rachel is a lifelong artist and graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art. She studied calligraphy with Master Calligrapher Carole Maurer and is a member of the Philadelphia Calligrapher's Society.
