HICKSVILLE, NY — An Elmont man was arrested on Monday and charged in relation to a home invasion that occurred in Hicksville in 2020.
According to police, two men forced their way into a home on Cedar Street at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 27, 2020. They went in through the basement door, police said, and began to punch a 26-year-old man in the face, demanding he give them cash.
The man's father entered the room and said he was calling 911, and police say the two men fled.
Police say an investigation led detectives to identify one of the men as Wade Sudlow, 25, of Eureka Avenue, Elmont. He surrendered himself at the Second Precinct on Monday. The second man has not yet been identified.
Sudlow is charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
