SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — Chancellor High School has reverted to virtual learning due to a high number of COVID-19 cases at the Spotsylvania County high school, according to a report. The high school will be virtual for all students beginning Tuesday and continuing through Sept. 10, the Free Lance-Star reported. An email from Chancellor High School administration to the school community Monday explained the decision to switch to virtual learning was made in consultation with the Rappahannock Area Health District, according to the report. The first day of school for Spotsylvania County Public Schools was Thursday, Aug. 12. Chancellor High School is the second Fredericksburg area school to revert to virtual instruction. Last week, Walker-Grant Middle School in the city of Fredericksburg switched back to virtual learning due to multiple COVID-19 outbreaks.
