Since 1992 Cortona Academy revolutionized education by creating Cortona Standard Rule #1: “Awaken students' academic motivation and excellence through inspirational events and field trips...and involve EVERYONE, including parents!” Cortona Academy kicked off our 30th Anniversary Year of providing affordable, superior private education in Northern Virginia at Wolf Trap's Filene Center for the Performing Arts. This was our first of many astounding field trips and events being planned weekly for the upcoming school year. We attended Wolf Trap's showing of the iconic film, “Star Wars,” with the original cast and the National Symphony playing the score. All Cortona students, families, and extended families were invited, as they are to ALL our field trips, productions, and events. It's high time to give your child HOPE again in the future, after this awful year of isolation and lost education.
