REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Minimum Qualifications: Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, experience with power tools and carpentry, fluent English, clean background check and driver’s license, smartphone, reliable transportation, ability to lift and carry 60lbs. Must be comfortable with heights and working on ladders. Primary responsibilities will be the development, management and execution of all processes related to maintaining the warehouse/installation vehicle(s), ordering from vendors, tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, confirming receipt/condition of materials, organization of parts, installation, and post-installation service calls with customers. Responsible for warehouse organization, to include: ▪ Monitor custom orders, track, receive and organize shipments. ▪ Quality Control - Ensure that orders received match orders placed and in are good condition. ▪ Communicate with clients relating to order status, installation schedule and preparation, post-installation follow-up. ▪ Plan and prepare orders for installation. ▪ Maintain warehouse, installation vans, inventory, and installation supplies. Schedule and aid in the installation of custom window coverings for residential and commercial customers in Arlington & Alexandria: ▪ Installation of horizontal and vertical blinds, shades, shutters, drapes, and automated window coverings. ▪ Problem solve tricky installation situations / on-location window covering modifications. ▪ Efficiently and neatly prep, install and clean-up at least 5 window coverings per hour. ▪ Work with designers to prepare in advance for each installation. ▪ Call clients to schedule installation appointments / manage installation schedule. ▪ Document Installation concerns and photograph newly installed window coverings. Complete on-sight technical measures in support of sales opportunities: ▪ Work in tandem with sales team to obtain accurate measurements for orders. ▪ Assess and plan for installations, i.e. figure out and prepare for potential carpentry or electrical projects, supplies, ladder, and safety concerns. Repair window coverings that are broken either by shipping, usage, or abuse: ▪ Perform client service visits to repair and/or replace malfunctioning products. ▪ Ship, track, and reorder damaged/defective products back to vendors. Presentation: You are representing the nation’s largest window covering business and creating a lasting impression with our hard-earned clients. A professional and friendly demeanor and presentation is critical. Branded attire provided by Budget Blinds is expected to be worn daily and at every client interaction.
