Here are the top stories today in Sacramento: Firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the Arden Arcade area on Tuesday. When they arrived they found one person deceased in the vehicle. Arson investigators were called. The department hasn't shared any identifying information about the person who was found in the vehicle. (ABC10)The Sacramento City Unified School District has announced that it will provide COVID testing for all students and teachers beginning September 2 and extending through the school year. While testing is optional for the students, all teachers and faculty will be required to show proof of vaccination or undergo weekly tests. (KCRA3)Camp Sacramento in the El Dorado National Forest narrowly escaped damage from the Caldor Fire over the weekend. The camp celebrated its 100 year anniversary this year, and what an anniversary present the firefighters gave it! They worked round the clock clearing brush and keeping hoses on the structures. The camp, run by the city of Sacramento, is not fully "out of the woods" yet, as crews are still extinguishing hot spots and mopping up the area, but the worst of the fire is past and all structures are still standing. (Sacramento City Express)Arson is suspected in a fire that damaged a home in Sacramento County early Tuesday morning, and the suspect has been put on a mental health hold. Sacramento firefighters were called to a house fire along Propitious Court, off of Elkhorn and Don Julio boulevards around 3:3o on Tuesday morning. The firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and no one was injured. A resident of the home is believed to have started the fire, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office says. That person has since been put on a mental health hold.
