We help our customers protect the environment by minimizing the hazardous waste they generate. Materials we handle include computers, misc. electronic devices, domestic and industrial refrigeration equipment and all types of fluorescent lights. The person in this position supports the Collection, Receiving, Shipping, Reuse, and Recycling functions in Total Reclaim’s Anchorage facility and drives a small truck in the area, and completing required paperwork. Work schedule is currently Monday-Friday from 8am - 4:30pm. Specific responsibilities include: Safely operate vehicles in compliance with all traffic regulations, specifically a 24ft Box Truck. Manually unload loose and palletized materials received at the facility in commercial vehicles and from the general public. Counting, separating, segregating, documenting and containing electronics, lights and other materials. Evaluating electronic devices, using standardized procedures, to determine if they are suitable for resale/reuse. Maintain an inventory of manifests, labels, and placards to properly transport hazardous waste. Properly complete manifests and labels for hazardous waste transport. Ensure that materials are in proper shipping containers and are secured for transport. Complete required paperwork such as receiving logs and bills of lading. Promptly report any traffic citations to management whether in company vehicle or not. The person in this position must: Properly don, wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment; Safely drive 24ft Box Truck; Properly use, operate and maintain hand tools, pallet jacks, shrink-wrap machine, and other equipment that may be required for the job; Be aware of forklifts in work area; Clean work area as needed; and Treat customers in professional manner. Warehouse workers should either have a willingness to learn about or have experience working in a warehouse and using hand tools.
