$40.00+ Materials Fee $5 September 26th from 12:00pm – 2:30pm An introduction to sailor’s “Marlinespike Seamanship” decorative knot-tying – which combines both form and function. Students will learn to identify lanyards, plaits, chains, sinnits, turk’s heads, mats, and hitching. You’ll learn a few great functional knots plus two of the most famous decorative knots. You’ll leave with your own Running Turk’s Head bracelet and a Monkey’s Fist ornament, great holiday gifts! What you’ll learn: This workshop covers vocabulary, tools, types of rope and twine, identifying various knots, tying some functional and decorative knots, plus resources to further what you’ve learned in this workshop on your own. -Materials are provided – No experience necessary!
