Male Umbrella Cockatoo, approximately 3 years of age. My wife bought him 6 months ago, believed she would have enough time for him. Unfortunately she doesn’t, these birds require a lot of attention! He has seemed to be a one person bird. We prefer someone who has dealt with large birds to take him not just someone who’s googled information on a cockatoo. He has seen a vet twice in the last 6 months for beak and nail trimmings and has a annually check up done too just about 4 months ago. He does have a sight scissor beak nothing that prevents him from being able to eat and foliage. Trust he destroys any toy you give him. They’re known for that. These birds are required to have a lot of mental stimulation. My wife hates to have to post him, but she knows if he gets too depressed he will start to self-mutilate himself or really harm himself. She doesn’t want that for him, just someone who knows this species of bird to take him and give him the love he needs. She is asking $1500 for him and his cage and his foods.
