Description
I'm a 39 year old guitarist and I want to write some heavy songs with mathcore parts. I have a ton of riffs and parts, but I've always found that if I have one or two people to work on songs with, the end product is always better. I'm looking for another guitarist or a bassist that is open to collaboration to write some songs. I'm not a super technical player, but I'm not a total slouch.
I've played and recorded and toured in the past, but I don't really want to tour or try to make this a living. I'd love to write and record some good songs, then put a band together and play shows, but not take it too seriously. That being said, I'm not interested in working with people who flake out.
I've got good equipment and transportation, so that's not an issue.
Shoot me an email and we can set up some time to work on a song or two. I've tried to do online collaboration, but it makes everything more difficult. Plus I love playing live with other musicians.
Here are some of my main influences: Converge, Birds in Row, Trap Them, Every Time I Die, At The Drive-In, Botch, Cursive, Daughters, Desaparacidos, Dismemberment Plan, Hot Water Music, Loma Prieta, meth., (old) Norma Jean, Portrayal of Guilt, Refused, Seizures, The Thermals, The Weakerthans, Young Widows
