Small paper/numismatics collectibles business needs honest, reliable able-bodied NON-SMOKING, NON-VAPING person to move my warehouse from Brighton Beach basement to Manhattan Beach basement/office, and hopefully stay on as warehouse/shipping manager after that. Job involves sorting, organizing, labelling, packing and moving inventory as well as dismantling commercial shelving units and setting them up again (this requires being handy). Boxes weigh an average of 20-40+ pounds. The packing/moving phase will probably take 3 weeks working full time or 4-5 weeks working part time (hours are flexible). Once moving is completed, everything has to be micro-organized (think alphabetizing books by topic/title in a library), counted and entered into a data base so basic computer skills or the ability/willingness to learn them are required (my computer savvy sales manager will oversee this and teach you as necessary). This phase will probably take at least 2 months working full time or 3-4 months working part time. These hours are also flexible. Once you know what everything is and where it is, we will be ready for the next phase, which is: 1) Ongoing inventory maintenance and management. 2) Pulling, packing, labelling and shipping orders. 3) Assisting with online and showroom sales, possibly making in-house and outside sales such as street sales. 4) Assisting with property maintenance (showroom/store/office/warehouse/exterior/grounds) 5) Hardware tech maintenance (not a must but if you have such skills, that's a plus) 6) Assistance in printing reproductions (not a must but if you have such skills, that's a plus) 7) Framing (not a must but if you have such skill or can learn it, that's a plus). 8) Driving (not required but if you have a DL, that's a plus) For phase 1 (packing/moving) and phase 2 (inventory organization) the most I can offer is $60 cash per day (while no money is coming in from sales). Once the new location is set up and the business is up and running we will work out a full-time arrangement if you want to stay and become a permanent team member (profit-sharing is possible for the right person). The team consists of 3 people: me (owner, general director, buyer, product development, sales), my day-to-day operations manager (online sales, listings, scanning, photoshop, running office, social media promotions) and the person who does the job(s) described in this ad (dealing with physical inventory, packing, shipping, assisting manager as required, misc. handy work).
