This beginner-friendly workshop will teach you the basics of modern calligraphy & how to decorate your own calligraphy wrapping paper. This workshop was created with beginners in mind. No prior lettering or calligraphy experience is necessary. In this workshop you'll receive 3 hours of personal, hands-on instruction that will teach you the basics of modern calligraphy and how to apply those skills to decorate your own wrapping paper. You'll learn how to: Properly hold and use a brush penCreate basic calligraphy strokes Use those strokes to form lettersConnect letters to create words and phrasesAdd personal style Use guidelines for consistencyApply calligraphy to a real-life projectYou will also receive a take-home supply kit that includes: A guided workbook, including: the basic strokes, uppercase and lowercase alphabet templates, a faux-calligraphy template, words & phrases, Christmas doodles, and guidelines. A variety of calligraphy pensTracing paperWrapping paperA personalized name cardAttendees have the option to purchase smoothies and other goodies from Real Meals Kitchen. To allow for personal instruction, one-on-one guidance, and plenty of working space, seats are limited. Due to the personalized nature of this workshop, there are no refunds. However, you can transfer your ticket to a future event or another person. Transfers may incur a fee of $15 to cover venue rental costs if your seat cannot be filled.
