Just what is a modifier and how do you find the right one for the work you want to create? What's the difference between an umbrella or a beauty dish?How can a softbox help you create stunning portraits?How does a snoot or a grid take that dramatic concept to another level?Find out all of this and more in this in-person lighting demo! Head up to the lighting department to see Kate demonstrating a variety of lighting techniques, discussing different modifiers, and when you may want to use them. Feel free to bring a camera and lens to take photos during this demo! Attendees should have an understanding of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and how to navigate their menus. MEET KATE HAILEYKate Hailey is a Portrait Photographer based in Seattle. Kate’s work is a mix of studio portraiture to street photography, blending in movement and stories along the way.
