This fundraising event welcomes dog lovers and their furry friends to the Harpoon Brewery to celebrate Octoberfest! Calling all dog lovers to the 4th Annual Harpoon Dogtoberfest! Stretch those legs with a 1-mile fun run/walk with your pup, then join our “barking lot” party with the freshest Harpoon beer, food trucks and music. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kenary Brain Tumor Research Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as well as the MSPCA. In addition to the festival itself, guests can enter their pup in the Fest-Minster Dog Show to compete in costume, trick, and look-a-like contests! Dog owners and dog lovers are both welcome to attend Dogtoberfest. We'll even have a Harpoon Dog Beer made from a 100% malted barley mash with powdered peanut butter added directly to the kettle boil! This "beer" contains no alcohol or hops (which is poisonous to dogs), and it is non-carbonated. With an on-site adoption meet and greet presented by the MSPCA, dog lovers may even leave the event as dog owners! From the start, this festival was planned as an open-air, outdoor experience to maximize safety. Attendees will have ready access to hand sanitizer throughout the festival and hand washing stations by the restrooms.
