Ms. Harrison is a local historian and author as well as an advocate for local historic preservation. Learn about the history of the original Hiawatha Gardens that served as a historic gentleman’s resort, beer garden, casino, ballroom, concert venue, and restaurant starting in 1890 when it opened. Experience the music of the era, learn about the performers and the magnificent dance floor “where dancing is entrancing.” The live presentation will be held at the Manitou Springs Heritage Center, 517 Manitou Avenue Manitou Springs, Colorado 80829.
