For ages 14+. Explore the Colonial Heights Appomattox River Trail System. For ages 14+. Explore the winding waters of the Appomattox River in Colonial Heights, Virginia. This section of the river is rich in history and wildlife. Our certified instructor will introduce basic paddling technique and water safety guidelines before leading the group on the open water. Participants will be required to provide their own transportation to and from the launch site at Roslyn Landing Park. Kayak, paddle, and life jacket will be provided. Saturday, October 9, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Roslyn Landing Park (Colonial Heights). $15/resident. $25/non-resident.
