Come make a SPLASH at the first Splash & Dash 5K Run in Levelland, Texas! The LEAP (Levelland's Emerging and Active Professionals) Group is providing a fun new addition to the Cotton & Crude Street Fair and Music Festival this year with a Splash & Dash 5K Fun Run! The run will not only be a great way for families to get outdoors the morning of the Cotton & Crude Street Fair and Music Festival, but will feature two GIANT slip and slides and a water cannon! The race will start at the Levelland Fire Department, travel south down Avenue H to the first slip and slide at Lobo Park. From there, runners can either choose the shorter route on 13th Street, or continue down Avenue H, turn east at 17th Street and enjoy the water cannon at Double U Park. From there, runners will to Avenue C, turn north to 13th Street and then run through the parking lot between the old stadium and Lobo Park. The third, best and FINAL slip and slide will be at Lobo Hill! After, runners will head back down Avenue H to the Rotary Pancake Breakfast on the corner of Avenue G and Houston Street. The grand prize winner will receive a 40 oz Hydro Flask and the winner from the age group 10 & under will receive a ticket to the Rotary Pancake Breakfast! Two more mystery winners will be drawn from both age groups (10 & under and older than 10) for Rotary Pancake Breakfast tickets, as well! Plan to come out and make a SPLASH on September 25, in downtown Levelland!
