Why save bats? Learn more by joining WE for an educational workshop with Kate Rugroden from the Bat World Sanctuary.
Come out to enjoy snacks, white sangria, and learn about our local bat population! The recipes come straight out of the "Bats in The Pantry" cookbook and a copy will be given away at the event.
Kate will have artifacts & specimens from around the world on display and will be signing copies of her book - - you won't want to miss this one!
At Bat World MidCities, an official Bat World Sanctuary Rescue Center, we rescue hundreds of bats every year who might otherwise die. Lifetime sanctuary is given to non-releasable bats, including those that are orphaned, injured, or elderly. Bat World MidCities offers continuing professional education courses on native wildlife care for wildlife rehabilitators, animal control officers, game wardens, and veterinarians and veterinary technicians. All BWMC volunteers are permitted by Texas Parks and Wildlife and are trained and vaccinated to handle bats safely. We are a 501c3 non-profit, and donations allow us to continue our rescue efforts for bats. www.batworld.org
