Description
An epic account of that forever September morning, by Thomas F. Flynn, narrated by Robert Cuccioli. This event will take place in person at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. In 2001, the world watched in shock and horror as the terrorist attacks on 9/11 shook the United States and ushered in a new era of history. After the North Tower was struck, Thomas F. Flynn, journalist, award-winning television producer and writer, hastily rode toward the blazing tower, unaware of the impending second attack and ensuing chaos. Flynn recounts the events that immediately followed the attacks on the World Trade Center with the detail of a journalist and the lyricism of a poet. Originally published in 2008 Bikeman is an epic poem, featuring a deeply moving recollection of that haunting day. This program will be narrated by Robert Cuccioli known by many for his riveting, critically acclaimed Tony nominated performance as mad scientist, Dr. Jekyll, and his sinister alter ego, Mr. Hyde, in the Frank Wildhorn/Leslie Bricusse smash Broadway hit musical Jekyll & Hyde, for which he also received the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and FANY Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Musical. This event takes place indoors in the Bruno Walter Auditorium. Attendance by reservation only. Audience members must wear a mask in accordance with the Library policy. Patrons not wearing a face covering will not be permitted to enter the Library.
