Hello curious human :) my name is Emily, I’m 27 years old. I'm in search of 1 or 2 RELIABLE people who are interested in a part-time caregiving job starting asap, going through mid-November. A little bit about me...I have a super rare condition called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. I know it’s kind of a mouth full but it’s basically just complicated Latin for “curved joint.” My condition has been compared to muscular dystrophy or multiple sclerosis due to their similar qualities and characteristics, however, it's slightly different, residing primarily in my joints, essentially causing a full-body state of persistent arthritis. As you can imagine it doesn’t feel awesome so I do deal with daily chronic pain (i smoke a lot of weed, haha), however, I don’t let it stop me and still try to live life to the fullest. I also have a 5-year-old shepherd/husky mix named Opal who is a total ham. A little bit about you... kind-hearted, patient, and have plenty of energy; are comfortable thinking outside the box, and being in nature because I know we will end up on some beautiful day adventures. 420 friendly is a must as I use it for pain management. MUST LIKE BIG DOGS and know how to handle them :) In-house tasks I need help with: Cleaning/organizing, parts of bathing, parts of getting dressed, meal prep, doing my hair, breaking up weed, laundry, occasionally washing my dog and other things like that. Outdoor activities: I love going on hikes/walks with my dog but sometimes I'll need a hand or a short piggyback ride to get over tricky terrain (I'm super tiny so I don't weigh much, haha). I might also have you carry stuff for me because it's easier for me to move when I don't have things weighing me down. I also love swimming, too. Sometimes I might need help with my dog Opal (ei. holding her leash or grabbing her) but she listens to me pretty well for the most part. HOURS: Looking for 1 or 2 people who can offer 3-5 hours, once or twice a week. I have had every different type of caregiver under the sun so just as much as I want this to work and feel right for me, I want it to feel right for you too. Sometimes it's nothing personal, but some people just don’t vibe well together. I like to leave room for this so neither of us feels trapped 😊
