“Pop Goes the Classics" will include light classics and popular music by Beethoven, Mozart, Dvorak, Gillet, Gershwin, Joplin and Rudin. The All Seasons Chamber Players will return to the Englewood Public Library on Sunday September 19, 2021 at 5 p.m. to perform a free, public concert on the plaza in front of the library located at 31 Engle Street, Englewood, NJ 07631. All are welcome and advanced reservations are not necessary. Bring a chair or blanket for listening. Parking is available at the library. In case of rain, we will move the concert indoors. The program, entitled “Pop Goes the Classics:, will include light classics and popular music by Beethoven, Mozart, Dvorak, Gillet, Gershwin, Joplin and Rudin. Performers will include violinist Bob Lawrence of NYC; flutist Lisa Hansen of Leonia; violist Joel Rudin of Princeton; and cellist E. Zoe Hassman of NYC. Bob Lawrence, Program Director for the ensemble, will introduce each selection with spoken program notes. All Seasons performers are professional musicians who also perform with major area orchestras, Broadway shows and summer music festivals. Now in its 41st season, the All Seasons Chamber Players has performed over 850 concerts throughout the metropolitan area and has been a regular attraction at the Englewood Library since 1984. Support for this concert is provided by the Friends of the Englewood Public Library; a grant administered by the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs from funds granted by the New Jersey Council on the Arts; the Schenck Foundation; and the Bergen Foundation.
