Filmed in 2016, Sadie Breaks the Silents was a labor of love for Tom Brandau. After his passing earlier this year, Tom's wife and artistic partner Janet Brandau lead a dedicated team of collaborators through the post-production process. Once again, Tom Brandau's vision will grace the silver screen. Please join us for this celebration of Tom, a remarkably talented filmmaker, incomparable teacher, and beloved human being. Sadie Breaks the Silents -- When the director is drunk and a producer demands results, the gutsy scenario writer on a 1920's silent movie shoot is determined to start and finish the film, even when faced with pushback from her cast and crew.
