Nursery specializes in drought tolerant plants and will learn about the sustainable systems they use for growing. Plant activity for kids! Terra Sole was founded in 2004 by John and Sherry Hall with the goal of experimenting and growing native plants, unusual plants and drought tolerant plants that are adapted to our dry summer climate. This includes old time favorites, modern introductions, pollinator pleasers, succulents & California natives. Their garden & nursery practices focus on low water use with rainwater collection, drip irrigation & hand watering. Their plants are grown as sustainably as possible. Snails are hand-collected and  containers are recycled. The birdbaths in the nursery encourage pest predation by their feathered friends and weeds are hand-pulled. Tour DescriptionSaturday & Sunday, October 9 & 10 Tours at 11am, 12, 1, 2 & 3pm Tour cost is $10 each Kids are free Self guided tours through the shadehouse and greenhouse. The owners will be available to answer plant & design questions. There will be a kids succulent planting activity as well. This is a very charming place with a lot to see! They grow a variety of drought tolerant & unusual plants that you won’t find in most nurseries. Their property has multiple garden areas for exploring different plants.
