About the position Green Couch Staging and Design has an exciting opportunity to announce. We are looking for a dedicated, smart, and hardworking Warehouse Manager to ensure your onsite operations are managed. Green Couch Staging and Design is a luxury residential staging company in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations. These operations include shipping, inventory, delivery. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment. DUTIES • Oversee all warehouse operations for a busy, high-traffic furniture storage facility. • Maintain cleanliness, organization, interior repairs and modifications, routine and non-routine maintenance, pest control efforts that are required with two separate warehouses within San Francisco. • Maintain city, county and state requirements for the building, as well as any required safety training Cal/OSHA for two separate warehouses in San Francisco. • Responsible for scheduling, receiving and inspecting all warehouse incoming deliveries, as well as proper preparation and scheduling for any outdoing deliveries. • Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, and notify appropriate teammates, as needed, for return, repair or replacement, as well as preparing said items for pickup, return, and/or delivery. • Light maintenance of, or replacement, or repair of company inventory of household furniture, rugs, artwork, and home accessories (repainting/staining, refinishing, light sanding, repair work). • Frequent and skilled use of hand tools and power tools (saws, sanders, hammer and nails, screwdrivers, nail guns, etc.), as well as paint, paint brushes, sprayers, etc. is a regular requirement for successful job performance in this position. • General “handyman” skills both onsite and offsite is required, light electrical experience is a plus. • General oversight of warehouse logistics and efficiencies to maintain and improve workflow in coordination with existing teammates and supervisor objectives. • Build upon, create, develop, and establish, if necessary, all policies and procedures needed to improve warehouse operations as they relate to overall business requirements. • Oversee the security and integrity of all warehouse equipment, safety, and training of employee use and operation, where applicable. • Maintain the cleanliness and effective operation of warehouse kitchen area, restroom areas, sinks, toilets, drains, trash disposal, etc. (these areas are cleaned by professionals every two weeks). • Maintain a positive work atmosphere that strengthens the warehouse operations and teammate objectives, as well as maintain current standards of operations as directed by supervisor. • Perform periodic trash runs to local dump sites with company vehicles. • Make local deliveries as needed or required by company and supervisor objectives. ________________________ REQUIREMENTS | SKILLS: • 4 years of warehouse management experience. • Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA standards and safety guidelines. • Clean, valid driver’s license is required, must be auto insurable, no DUIs, etc.; and must possess the ability to drive various company vehicles, to include box trucks up to 24’ in length. • Forklift experience is definitely a plus, but not required. • Experience with handling or moving furniture is a must. • Must be able to lift 75lbs. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include text messaging and phone calls frequently throughout the workday in coordinating with teammates, as well as receiving and replying to company emails. Computer competency for daily use of database programs, email programs, spreadsheets, and general typing is required. • Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, but must have the ability to work occasional overtime hours during the week and on weekends for special projects.
