Material & Construction Support Associate We are a local family owned construction and design company. We work mostly in the Aptos area but have jobs all over the county. We are looking for a team player who meshes well with our organization. Experience is important but we are willing to train the right person. Job Description: Material and Construction Support Associate coordinates with each job site to make sure they have all the materials they need to perform the work for the day. Skills: -entry level position -experience hauling a trailer a plus -good communication -attention to detail -team player -on time, respectful of clients and co-workers -ability to properly lift heavy and awkward materials or work with other team members to develop a lift plan Responsibilities: -Works under the supervision of the Foreman, Project Manager, and Framing Lead -picks up, delivers materials to job sites -inspects materials at vendors to confirm free of damage -refuses damaged material and communicates with Project Manager or Coordinator about the damage if more assessment is needed -in charge of site clean up -in charge of shop organization and tool inventory -comfort driving a 4x4 diesel truck and pulling a trailer -responsive by phone during work hours -brings demo materials to site to begin demo -floats job sites, potentially performing demo tasks and minor framing when necessary -follows company safety policies -clean driving record -long drives (as far as Hayward) to procure materials -attention to detail
