Description
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Educational Foundation, a non-profit that helps fund extracurricular activities not included in the school budget, is partnering with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an annual textile recycling rebate program.
The WEF is accepting unwanted footwater, clothing, accessories, linens, and stuffed animals. It will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. Each year, this fundraiser raises thousands of dollars that are put towards improving Wilmington schools. 95% of textiles can be reused, according to Bay State Textiles.
Donations can be in any condition, as long as they are clean and dry. Place them in a bag and put them in any of the donation boxes located outside of each of Wilmington's public schools. Boxes are emptied weekly.
